Preamble
Some time ago I was needed “Command Line Tools for Xcode”, more precisely the DMG file with the installer of “Command Line Tools for Xcode” version 11.3.1. All I need to do to get the needed DMG file, it’s go to the website developer.apple.com, find the latest version of the file I need and download it to my computer.
Except “Command Line Tools for Xcode” you can find a lot of interesting at developer.apple.com, because this section of the Apple website is made specifically for developers. By becoming a member of the developer club you get various opportunities that necessary for development, testing and distributing applications, and you also have access to Safari extensions, application analytics and beta versions of Apple’s OS.
If you are new to developing on an Apple platform, like I am, then you can start using tools and resources for free. If you want to create more advanced features and distribute your applications on the App Store, the cost per year of membership is 100 USD. You must be over 18 years old to join the developer club.
Let’s begin
The process of registration at the developer.apple.com website is a really simple process. For this, we need to follow few simple steps. Now let’s get started :)
Follow the link to the developer.apple.com website.
Now, in the top bar menu of the website, find and click on the Account tab.
If, at the moment, you are not logged at the Apple.com website, then you need to log in by entering your apple ID. Click on the button Continue with Password.
Enter the password for your computer.
Next we need to accept the agreement between us and Apple.
Note! You can download the agreement in PDF format.
Cheque the box that saying (By checking this box I confirm that I have read and agree to be bound by the Agreement above).
Uncheck the box that saying (I’d like to receive emails announcing the latest news and recommendations for Apple developers) if you don’t want to receive emails from Apple with news and recommendations for developers.
Click on the Submit button.
Done. Welcome to your account!
The account is registered, now you have access to various goodies for developers and you can create new products for Apple devices :)
